Care in the Field

Birds

Wrap the feet in wet paper towel. Place the bird in an airtight plastic bag and freeze. Be sure to arrange feathers in place.

Gameheads

Do Not Cut the Throat of ANY Animal!

When gutting the animal and splitting the rib cage, do not cut into the brisket. For full shoulder mounts, cut 6 inches behind the front legs. Be sure to leave enough extra hide. Keep hide very cool or frozen to prevent hair from slipping. Bring the hide in as soon as possible.

Fish

When freezing fish for mounting, lay fins flat and wrap in a wet towel, then wrap it in plastic.

*Reminder*

The better you take care of your trophy in the field the higher quality the end product!
